Software defined WANs (or Intent Based Networks) are now replacing circuit based dedicated WANs. SD-WAN technology typically allows use of low cost Internet access for mission critical business connectivity by overlaying application-level controls that intelligently overcome inherent Internet shortcomings such as latency, reliability, and bandwidth. At Network Edge we have embraced the SD-WAN evolution and are already supporting numerous customer deployments.

Our customer WANs are built using low cost UFB fibre connectivity (wherever possible), transport over a secure self-healing MPLS backbone, and diverse secure access to private, cloud, or hybrid server infrastructure. The WAN can be fully integrated into Network Edge’s virtual infrastructure Cloud for Internet access and hosting. Circuit and transport costs, ongoing WAN management, and future circuit migrations to UFB are incorporated into a pricing model that provides full transparency.
