The ICT environment for an SME today can involve multiple technologies and services, but often there are so many options it can be difficult to see the wood for trees. As an SME itself, Network Edge understands this dilemma firsthand. We know that an ICT solution that delivers on performance, reliability, ease of use, and price is what SME’s need. Our All in One ICT consists of 7 components that, combined, deliver what an SME needs today.

1 – Phone System

All in One ICT packages two phone system options – Microsoft Teams and Cloud PBX.  Customers can choose one or both options depending on which best suits their user requirements.

If your users are comfortable using their workstation and a headset as their telephone, we recommend Teams because it comes bundled with Microsoft 365 licensing.  Our Microsoft certified Session Border Controllers allow All in One ICT customers to use Teams as their organisation-wide telephone system by enabling direct SIP connectivity between Teams and the public phone network (PSTN).  And if required we can also support connectivity between Teams and an existing PBX.

If you require Contact Centre capability and/or your users require a traditional telephone handset we recommend our Cloud PBX.  Productivity features such as Presence and Chat, full integration with Android and IOS Smartphones, and video conferencing are supported.  If you want to combine Microsoft Teams and Cloud PBX handsets in your environment, we will happily build an integrated and seamless solution.

2 – WAN and Internet

We are business networking experts; it is in our DNA.  At one end of the spectrum an All in One ICT WAN could be a single connection to your office to support Internet access, PBX to PSTN telephone calls, and Cloud hosted services.  For larger customers it could be a nationwide self-healing MPLS network connecting all your offices together while also providing connectivity to the Internet, PSTN, and Cloud.

All WAN access technologies and bandwidths are available; copper DSL, UFB, and dedicated fibre to 10Gbps and beyond.  And if required, we will enable secure Internet VPN access for your remote workers.  Our All in One ICT customer WANs are proactively monitored and managed from our Network Operations Centre using tools deployed on our Cloud infrastructure.

3 – Office Wi-fi

Subject to customer requirements, All in One ICT will include the design and installation of secure high-performance Wi-Fi in your office, warehouse, or campus using best-of-breed technology. The Wi-Fi system will support user laptops and smartphones, printers and other devices, and secure access for BYOD guests if required. Depending on your overall requirements, physical cabling to PCs and other devices may not be required.

In a green-fields office, warehouse, or campus environment we will use our Wi-Fi design tools to develop a deployment plan which specifies where Wi-Fi access points should be located for best performance. If you already have Wi-Fi, we will undertake a survey to expose existing Wi-Fi limitations and how these can be fixed. All in One ICT includes Wi-Fi system management and reporting.

4 – Desktop and End User Computing

All in One ICT provides for the supply of your Desktop PCs, Laptops/Notebooks and peripheral devices, and ongoing comprehensive support of all your end user technology.  Our support services include all aspects of planning, installing, configuring, hardening, patching, updating, troubleshooting, monitoring, and documenting your end user computing environment.

As well as end user device management, All in One ICT includes industry standard end user application support such as password resets, adding and deleting users, maintenance of security settings, application Incident diagnosis, application “how to’s” for advice to users, and escalation to software vendors for application performance issues or outages.

Because every customer is not the same, All in One ICT desktop and end user support is flexible so that cost and criticality factors can be accommodated.  Support options include: Time and Materials for non-contracted best efforts; Monitor and Alert for monitored incident alerting and reporting; Remote Support for alerting, reporting, and incident resolution using remote access; Full Support for remote and onsite support depending on need; and Extended Hours Support for 24/7 remote and onsite support.  You choose which support option per device that best fits your needs.

5 – Microsoft 365

All in One ICT supports Microsoft 365 licensing per user based on a minimum 1-year term.  Each Microsoft 365 license includes the latest version of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Outlook and Exchange for email and calendaring; Teams for chat, meetings, and calling; and 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage.

6 – ICT Security

Your ICT strategy should consider cyber exposure risk the same as economic or environmental risk.  It really comes down to how important your ICT is to the health of your business.  We take ICT security seriously and, subject to cost constraints, will deploy security tools and processes as part of All in One ICT that meet or exceed your stated risk profile.
